Had a very interesting and enjoyable day today. We were invited by a year 6 student at St John School, Beverley, to give help and advice on a project they are working on to grow, nurture and then sell Cosmos plants as a team challenge and to raise funds for the school. I was very impressed by the young students I met, their enthusiasm, knowledge and the way they conducted themselves was a credit to themselves, their parents and the school.
It was a pleasure to be able to help them. As a thank you for my time I was presented with a parsnip the students had grown themselves. I was thrilled.
